Psychotherapist
NY
My private practice specializes in supporting women and couples through the emotional complexities of the perinatal and reproductive journey. With more than 16 years of experience as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and advanced certification in Perinatal Mental Health (PMH-C), my work focuses on providing thoughtful, compassionate, and trauma-informed care during some of life's most vulnerable transitions. I work with clients navigating pregnancy, postpartum adjustment, postpartum depression and anxiety, infertility, pregnancy loss, reproductive and medical trauma, and the often complicated transition into parenthood. I also support couples when reproductive experiences, grief, trauma, or differing hopes for the future begin to impact their relationship. At the heart of my practice is an understanding that the perinatal experience does not always unfold as expected. There can be an enormous gap between what someone imagined this chapter would look like and the reality they are living. Even experiences that may appear medically routine or be minimized by others can carry significant emotional weight. Infertility, loss, difficult pregnancies, traumatic medical experiences, and postpartum mental health challenges can leave individuals feeling isolated, overwhelmed, or disconnected from themselves. My approach creates space for clients to process these experiences without judgment or pressure to simply “move on.” Together, we work toward understanding the impact of what has happened, developing tools to manage anxiety and emotional distress, rebuilding a sense of safety and trust, and making room for grief alongside hope. I believe that feeling seen and understood is an essential part of healing. My goal is to provide a space where the experiences that can feel invisible—particularly reproductive trauma, pregnancy loss, infertility, and the emotional challenges of motherhood—are recognized as meaningful and worthy of care.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My therapeutic style is warm, relational, and trauma-informed. I strive to create a space where you can feel genuinely seen and understood—especially during the perinatal and reproductive years, when experiences can feel overwhelming, isolating, or difficult to put into words. Our work is collaborative and tailored to what you need, balancing emotional support and “holding” with practical tools, insight, and gentle challenge when helpful. I am certified in **Perinatal Mental Health (PMH-C) through Postpartum Support International** and have additionally trained with **Karen Kleiman in the Holding Perinatal Women in Distress™ model**, which deeply informs my approach to supporting clients through pregnancy, postpartum, and reproductive challenges. I have also completed specialized training through **The Seleni Institute in infertility, perinatal loss, and grief**, giving me a nuanced understanding of reproductive grief—including losses that may be minimized or not fully recognized by others. Whether you are navigating anxiety or intrusive thoughts, infertility, pregnancy loss, reproductive or medical trauma, postpartum adjustment, or the transition into motherhood, you do not have to arrive at therapy knowing exactly what you need. We can begin with where you are. My goal is to offer a place where you don't have to hold everything together—and where even the complicated, contradictory feelings are welcome.
