Getting to know Danielle Stokely

Hello, my name is Danielle. I am licensed in New York, Florida, and Michigan with over 25 years of experience working as a psychotherapist and life coach with individuals of all ages. I hold a Master's in Social Work from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. I have worked with clients facing a wide range of concerns, including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting stress, and career challenges. I have also helped many people who have experienced family and generational trauma as well as grief and loss. My counseling style is warm, reflective, and encouraging. I believe in treating everyone with respect, compassion, and openness. I believe everyone is doing the best they can. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, rational-emotive, and dialectical behavior therapy with a blend of mindfulness, energy psychology, and psycho-education. I will tailor our time together and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. It takes courage to step forward and seek help for a more fulfilling and happier life. If you are ready to take that step, I am here to support and empower you. I look forward to working with you!

What should a new client know about working with you?

I love to know what prompted therapy right now, in this very moment in your life. I also find it helpful for both of us to learn exactly what would be different in your life if all was well and going exactly as you want it to go. How would you move in your life? How would you show up in your relationships with others? with yourself? I find this can be very helpful as we develop a map for the next sessions.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
