Danyelle Sharp, LPC Associate

Psychotherapist
8105 Rasor Blvd, Plano, TX
I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate under the supervision of Dr. Bonnie King, PhD, LPC-S, CSC. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Speech Communication from Texas A&M University-Commerce and my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Texas Woman’s University. I’ve had the privilege of working in Partial Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatient (PHP/IOP) settings, supporting individuals, families, and groups through some of life’s toughest moments. I’ve also worked with a non-profit that provided therapy and support for people affected by mass violence — experiences that continue to shape how I show up for my clients. My approach to therapy is client-centered, relational, and rooted in the belief that healing happens in the context of safe, authentic connection. I work from a humanistic lens, which means I see each person as inherently worthy, capable of growth, and deserving of compassion. In our work together, I focus on building a strong, collaborative relationship where you feel heard, respected, and understood. I also draw from attachment-based principles, exploring how early relationships and life experiences may be influencing how you connect with yourself and others today. My style is warm, curious, and nonjudgmental — I aim to create a space where you can show up as you are, and where we can make sense of your experiences together at your own pace. I specialize in working with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, self-esteem challenges, life transitions, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, and identity exploration within the LGBTQIA+ community. I also have experience supporting clients through suicidal ideation and self-harm. I’m especially passionate about helping people move through grief and loss — particularly loss by suicide — with compassion, care, and a deep understanding of the unique pain that comes with it.
