What should a new client know about working with you?

My approach to therapy is highly individualized, drawing from a range of evidence-based modalities including CBT, DBT, EMDR, etc. I aim to provide a safe, non-judgmental space for clients to explore their concerns and work towards lasting change whether the issues are processing and healing from trauma or simply needing an objective, listening ear. If you're seeking a therapist who is passionate, knowledgeable, and dedicated to your well-being, I invite you to reach out. Let's work together to unlock your full potential and create a brighter, more fulfilling future. Located in Madison, Mississippi, I look forward to connecting with you and supporting you on your healing journey and reclamation of joy!

What is your typical process for working with clients?

So, I'm slightly different from the average "stiff" clinician. During an intake session, gathering information/history can often be a tedious Q & A method. However, I would much rather ask you to take a deep breath with me, tap into yourself, and simply share the reason you decided to finally pick up the phone and commit to booking an appointment (not just looking for a therapist, but booked the appointment because you could not wait any longer). That will get us started!! All of the other necessary info in your history will come out after that! It always does. :) Also, you will never hear me stop a session mid-convo because we are "out of time". I don't believe in wasting your time (or mine), but I will not interrupt therapeutic progress either. We close the session appropriately, right?? Other than that....it's your session! So you tell me what it is going to look like!
