Getting to know Darelys Perez

My name is Darelys Perez but most of my clients know me as D! I'm a psychotherapist with over 9 years of experience helping individuals, couples, and families navigate life's challenges. I hold a Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology from Florida International University and a Post-Master's from St. Thomas University in Marriage and Family Therapy, which allows me to be dually licensed as an LMHC and LMFT in the State of Florida. I chose to pursue a career in psychotherapy because I am passionate about helping others achieve mental wellness and personal growth. Growing up, I had no real understanding of mental health, and like most people, I struggled to find my own path. Being able to provide my clients with guidance on their journey toward healing and self-discovery is not only incredibly rewarding professionally but also personally. When I’m not in the office, I enjoy going on walks, reading, listening to podcasts, and gardening (sometimes unsuccessfully!). However, spending quality time with my children, extended family, and friends is my biggest joy.
