Dario Sarmienta, LMFT

Dario Sarmienta, LMFT

Psychotherapist
CA
As a therapist trained in Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) and Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP), I specialize in strengthening the parent-child relationship and helping families navigate behavioral challenges, trauma, and attachment repair. I hold a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology from San Jose State University, which has deepened my understanding of human development and therapeutic techniques. My approach is culturally sensitive, exploring the impact of cultural beliefs, upbringing, and values while validating the influence of acculturation on daily functioning. I also provide grief therapy, offering a compassionate space for individuals to process loss and adapt to life with their grief. Rooted in the humanistic approach, I believe in the power of self-awareness and personal growth, creating a non-judgmental, empathetic environment where clients can explore their feelings, values, and potential. My goal is to help individuals and families heal, grow, and thrive in a supportive and empowering space.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
