My name is Darlene Nicks. Have you experienced trauma? Have you recently gone through a relationship betrayal, divorce, infidelity, or homelessness? I practice a strength-based, holistic approach to therapy and use a variety of theories and techniques tailored to each individual's personality and needs. I believe that everyone possesses the natural ability to reach their most evolved and emotionally intelligent self, and it is my privilege to help others discover and develop their strengths and resources. I hold a Master’s in Social Work from Alabama A&M University and am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker licensed in the states of Alabama, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey. My experience spans over 20 years working with individuals, adolescents, adults, and families struggling with addictions, work issues, domestic violence, housing insecurity, parenting challenges, infertility, aging and death, mood disorders, trauma, and chronic medical conditions. Together, we will begin to recover balance and a sense of clarity for those struggling to regulate their emotions and self-esteem, focusing on issues such as trauma, depression, anxiety, eating disorders, attachment difficulties, and relationship and family issues.
