My name is Darrell Benson. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and enjoy working with people who are ready to make positive changes in their lives and relationships while willing to add some humor into therapy. I earned my Master's in Social Work from the University of Southern California (USC) and have an extensive background working with teens as well as families. I enjoy working with individuals across a wide age range who are seeking to rediscover their inner connection with self. I believe that everyone can engage in discovering or rediscovering the inner beauty that has been dormant, hidden, or damaged due to attachment ruptures and traumas. Healing begins with challenging and reframing negative cognitive belief patterns about oneself and one's situation. I enjoy modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Internal Family Systems Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Play Therapy. I view myself as a passenger on a tour, with the client as the guide-there is no perceived image of what to expect, and I consider it a privilege to be part of the journey despite an unknown destination. I aim to assist individuals and families in healing mentally and emotionally while honoring and respecting their values, morals, and beliefs.
