Hi there, I'm Darryl! I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor currently practicing in New Hampshire via Telehealth. I work with adults 18+ and specialize in PTSD, anxiety, stress, grief, and life transitions. I pull from a wide range of approaches like Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients with personal growth and feel better. My approach My approach to therapy varies based on the needs of each client. I take a person-centered approach initially, meaning I will adapt to what your needs are and what goals you aim to achieve. I use cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) to help you identify and reshape unhelpful thought patterns. This approach is hands-on and gives you tools to feel more in control of your emotions and behaviors. I also like to use tools from DBT to support mindfulness, emotional regulation, and distress tolerance which is helpful when our body creates tension with any stress that comes up in the moment. I may adapt my approach to EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) when working through traumatic events which I would use to help the body release any trauma that it has been holding onto over the years. My focus Have you been struggling with anxious thoughts and self-doubt? Is there a traumatic event from that past that you are struggling to let go of and is running your life? I work with clients 18+ who may be suffering from Trauma/PTSD, Anxiety, Depression, and Life Transitions. In addition to Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy, I use a person-centered approach with a mix of psychodynamic treatment modalities, Mindfulness, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) in order to create a plan for growth that feels empowering and achievable.
