“So I showed up a day early by mistake, and when he called me telling me my appointment was tomorrow, he immediately offered an option. He mentioned if I wait an hour at the office he would be willing to see me which was really nice of him. When I first met him to wait in the office, he seemed a little annoyed, but I still waited. Then something went wrong with my insurance, which made the situation seem a little more tense, but he said he would talk to me anyways. Once I sat down on the couch, and he started talking to me, everything changed. I don't know if I just got lucky, because this is the first therapy session I've ever done or what, but David connected with me on a very personal level and gave me very blunt insight and talked to me in the most realest way possible. My first session with him made me feel heard and understood beyond anything I ever expected. He may not be for everyone, but definitely the guy for me. I highly recommend booking with David. Truly genuine. ”

Getting to know David Aron

I am NOT a psychiatrist and CANNOT PRESCRIBE MEDICATION. My practice operates on a self-pay basis at a rate of $200 per one-hour session. After your appointment, you will receive a superbill to submit for reimbursement from your insurance provider. Please only book an appointment if you are prepared to pay out of pocket and handle the reimbursement process with your insurance company or if you have Aetna insurance. I hold a Master’s in Social Work from Baylor University and have completed specialized training at the Institute of Chemical Dependency Studies in Addiction Prevention and Treatment. I work with individuals and families to navigate the complexities associated with mental health and substance use challenges. My expertise is in the treatment of anxiety, depression, addiction, and OCD. Before becoming a therapist, I worked in business development for various tech companies in the United States and internationally. This non-clinical background gives me a unique ability to identify and support individuals using practical skills applicable to their complex journeys. By incorporating a blend of clinical expertise and real-world understanding, I aim to provide a holistic and practical approach to support individuals on their path to recovery. This dual perspective enables me to bridge the gap between traditional therapeutic methods and the specific needs of those navigating the complexities of mental health.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I am a licensed social worker, addiction professional, OCD specialist and business development guru.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

In my solution-focused practice, my overarching objective is to empower individuals to navigate life's challenges by offering tangible and practical solutions. My commitment is to guide you in acquiring real-world skills that not only enhance your well-being but also act as tools to bring your life back on track.

More information on payments and coverage

My practice is cash pay via credit card payment. I will provide a superbill so that you can request reimbursement from your insurance company. Why cash pay for mental health services: * Cash pay services allow for more flexibility and control over treatment decisions, without being subject to insurance limitations or requirements. * Insurance companies often impose strict criteria for diagnoses and treatment, which can lead to clinicians being forced to use standardized or brief treatment approaches that may not be optimal for a particular client. * Cash pay services can provide more privacy and confidentiality for clients, since insurance companies often require a diagnosis and other personal information to be shared in order to approve treatment. * Cash pay services may be more cost-effective for clients who don't have insurance or who have high-deductible plans, since they can often negotiate lower rates and avoid costly copays or coinsurance payments. * Cash pay services can allow for more continuity of care, since clients don't have to switch providers or treatment settings if their insurance changes or coverage is terminated. * Avoiding potential insurance issues: Receiving a mental health diagnosis through insurance may potentially impact eligibility for life insurance or result in higher premiums.

Dave’s sessions have truly brought meaningful changes to my life. He creates a safe space where you can openly share your thoughts and feelings without judgment. He listens with patience and offers insightful analogies that simplify even the most complex problems. I was struggling to let go of past hurt, and with just one simple yet profound analogy—“Someone drank poison, and the other person died”—he helped me see things from a new perspective and let go of what was holding me back. Dave’s guidance has been a blessing in my journey of healing and growth. If you’re looking to move on from the past and create a brighter future, I highly recommend working with him. His wisdom and compassion can truly make a difference.

David brings a unique perspective that I have not experienced in a therapist before. I could tell from our first meeting that we were going to work well together. He just seems to get it…
This guy is different than all the other therapists I’ve seen in the past. David takes a real life approach as opposed of sounding like he is reading from a therapist text book. He helped me quickly gain some relief from my stress and depression.
David is very intuitive and empathetic. He has taught me some incredible practical coping skills and connected me with some great resources. David is very responsive and generally can fit me in to his schedule on short notice.
Incredibly empathetic and knowledgeable. He responded quickly to my booking request and explained his self pay rate and reimbursement protocol for getting paid back from insurance.
