Hello, I'm Russ. Reaching out for support takes strength and courage, and I deeply respect that. My aim is to create a calm, inviting atmosphere where a deep sense of trust can grow between us. I believe that pain shared is pain lessened, and that people can and do recover from issues that have been troubling them for years. Many people enter therapy not because of a complex mental health issue but because of a general feeling that life isn't what they would like it to be. I've been there myself. Many years ago, I embarked on my own personal growth journey, and I believe that experience has made me a more compassionate and empathetic therapist. I am very active in the therapeutic process and provide direct feedback and suggestions for implementing lifestyle changes. During my time as a therapist, I have gained extensive experience with addiction, alcoholism, depression, anxiety, trauma, and relationship issues. I work with individuals, couples, and families, utilizing an eclectic approach that includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and Person-Centered Therapies. As a Licensed Professional Counselor with an MA, my goal is to help you equip yourself with the skills, clarity, meaning, and self-awareness needed to experience a more meaningful and satisfying life. Whether you're dealing with addiction, anger management, anxiety, bipolar disorder, depression, family relationships, grief, intimate relationships, life transitions, military or veteran support, narcissistic personality disorder, OCD, phobias, PTSD, sex or intimacy issues, stress, or trauma, I'm here to support you. If you're ready to take the next step toward a better life, I'm here to help. Let's work together to find the clarity and peace you deserve.
