My approach combines evidence-based treatments with practical strategies that help clients develop resilience, improve relationships, gain control over difficult thoughts and emotions, and move toward the life they want to live. In addition to being a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, I have pursued extensive advanced training and hold certifications as a Beck Institute Certified Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Clinician (BICBT-CC), Certified Clinical Trauma Professional Level II (CCTP-II), Certified Hypnotherapist (CH), Certified Clinical Adventure Therapist (CCAT), and am trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) and Exposure and Response Prevention Therapy (ExRP). I specialize in treating anxiety disorders, OCD, trauma, depression, relationship concerns, life transitions, stress management, men's issues, and performance-related challenges. I also have extensive experience helping individuals struggling with perfectionism, burnout, self-doubt, emotional regulation difficulties, and the effects of unresolved trauma. My therapeutic style is collaborative, direct, and goal-oriented. While I provide a supportive environment where clients feel understood, I also believe in helping people develop concrete skills and actionable strategies that create meaningful change both inside and outside of therapy sessions. Whether you are facing a specific challenge or simply feel stuck and want to improve your quality of life, I strive to create a therapeutic experience that empowers you to build confidence, strengthen resilience, and become the strongest version of yourself.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My therapy style is supportive, collaborative, and goal-oriented. I strive to create an environment where clients feel comfortable being themselves without fear of judgment, while also helping them make meaningful progress toward their goals. I believe therapy works best when clients feel both understood and challenged. During our sessions, I take an active role in helping clients identify patterns that may be keeping them stuck, develop practical coping skills, and create actionable steps toward lasting change. Rather than simply talking about problems, we work together to better understand them and develop effective solutions. My approach integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based strategies, trauma-informed care, exposure-based interventions when appropriate, and other evidence-based techniques tailored to each individual's needs. I often help clients better understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, behaviors, relationships, and nervous system responses. Clients can expect sessions that are conversational, engaging, and focused on building insight, resilience, and real-world skills. Whether you're struggling with anxiety, OCD, trauma, depression, relationship challenges, stress, or life transitions, my goal is to help you feel empowered, capable, and equipped to navigate life's challenges with greater confidence.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Therapy with me is active, collaborative, and focused on helping you make meaningful progress. While every session is tailored to the individual, clients can generally expect a balance of support, insight, skill-building, and practical problem-solving. During our first session, I take time to understand your current concerns, personal history, relationships, strengths, and goals for therapy. Together, we identify the patterns that may be contributing to your struggles and create a treatment plan designed specifically for you. In follow-up sessions, we review what's been happening in your life, explore challenges that have come up, and work on developing strategies to help you respond more effectively. Depending on your needs, we may focus on anxiety, OCD, trauma, relationship concerns, stress management, emotional regulation, self-confidence, or other areas of growth. I frequently incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, exposure-based techniques, trauma-informed interventions, and nervous system regulation strategies. Many clients appreciate that our sessions are not simply about talking through problems. My approach is focused on helping you understand why patterns exist, develop practical skills to address them, and apply those skills in real-world situations. My goal is for you to leave sessions feeling understood, challenged, and equipped with tools that help you build resilience and create lasting change.
