I got my LPC in the mid 1990s and worked for a treatment center as a chemical dependency therapist for 8 years. Then I did career advising for 15 years followed by working for a Suboxone Clinic as a drug and alcohol counselor for 8 years. My specialty is chemical dependency and drug abuse but there is a lot of overlap with areas such as anxiety, social support, abuse, career planning, etc.
