What should a new client know about working with you?

I use holistic and person-centered approaches focusing on your unique strengths and needs. In many ways, you come to therapy to heal yourself. My role is to help you identify the strengths and supports you need to do that. Together, our work will involve talking about problems and solutions, learning new ideas and concepts, and practicing skills in-between sessions. I have extensive training and experience in the following evidence-based approaches: Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, CBT for insomnia, and CBT for psychosis, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Ketamine/Psychedelic-Assisted Psychotherapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and Trauma-Focused CBT. We will use standardized assessments to establish a baseline of what's bothering you and track your progress over time. The job of being you is not an easy one, but in therapy, you will gain the confidence to do what needs to be done. I'll help.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

We are living through uncertain times. When it seems every day brings more bad news and the daily grind of just trying to be happy leaves you feeling more alone and confused, don't give up! Go see Dave! Together we can talk it through, make a plan, and practice getting better each day. I specialize in helping people recover from career setbacks, creativity, gender/sexual identity issues, immigration, mood disorders, psychosis, and trauma. Your future is calling, and it says, "life gets better."
