Getting to know David Queally

You thought you'd put "it" behind you. You must be "doing it wrong" since it's still there. Talking about it worked-until it didn't. Your relationships are suffering. You're exhausted. It's time to get some help; some relief from the weight you've been carrying for so long. I am EMDR Certified and utilize a combination of EMDR and IFS (Internal Family Systems). I hold a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Stetson University. In our work together, we'll explore what you're going through to discover how the past is impacting your present. Using a combination of EMDR and IFS, we'll harness the brain's natural healing powers to reprocess painful memories so they no longer cause you distress. It's time to heal the pain of your past and embrace the bright future you deserve. Experience freedom from the burden of your past. Find balance between your career and personal life. Build the connections with people that have eluded you for too long. There's no reason to struggle alone with this anymore. Get the support, guidance, and encouragement you need to thrive. Most of my clients are professionals who have reached a point where they know something has to give. Many have used alcohol, drugs, or other substances or behaviors to relieve underlying turmoil, but at a certain age or point in life, those things start adding to stress, anger, disconnection, and burnout. In our work together, we systematically target and reduce the inner pain, which reduces the need to seek relief from external sources.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I am an EMDR certified therapist and I am also IFS trained. I utilize both modalities in my work.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I have found that a 'one size fits all' approach is ineffective. Every client has unique needs and treatment is customized based on what works for the client.

I happened upon David after my previous therapist died. Not only was David respectful of that time I had with that therapist, he genuinely has built upon it in the year+ I’ve been seeing him. One of the things I love about David is how real of a person he is. There’s no genuine wall or shield that keeps you from feeling his empathy. I am eternally grateful for David. Even on days when I don’t want to get out of bed, I still get excited to sit down and speak with him. He has helped me understand myself better. While I am not “fixed”, I feel so secure that David will continue to be there for me in times of need. I have had a bad history with therapists throughout my life. I didn’t get what I needed out of it. David is only one of two therapists who have made me feel truly seen.
As a parent, I felt helpless when my son was struggling with his mental health. I wanted to help him, but I knew he needed a professional. After David met with my son and I, I knew there was hope. With each session, my son was noticeably changing; his attitude, his understanding of his emotions, his outlook on life. David helped my son grow his emotional intelligence. He gave my son the skill set to be able to handle his emotions rather than just react to them. David was also able to help me understand my son better so I would know how to help him when he is struggling. I cannot thank David enough. I don’t know what would’ve happened if we hadn’t found him.
David is by far the best therapist I’ve ever had. He didn’t just help me with what I’m going through, he gave me tools to handle problems I will encounter in the future. He has helped me through multiple problems like depression, anxiety, suicidal thoughts, and my own personal traumas. I started talking to David when I was around 14 years old. I started therapy the year prior with a different therapist, but my family and I felt that I was not making progress. My experience with David has changed my life. If you ever need a therapist that can get you through your challenges he is just the one right for you! I even want to be a therapist now and I’m going to college to pursue a career in psychology. I can’t thank David enough!
How can you put a miracle into words? David has been my therapist for three years, and I’m a completely different person because of his guidance. I've been seeing David Queally for more than a year. Before I started therapy with him, I had no hope that I would ever feel better. I've seen a few therapists but never had one who was this incredible! He's the most understanding, smartest, and most compassionate person I've ever met. Extremely trustworthy to the point where I know I can talk about anything with him and get an honest opinion which is so important in my healing journey. Up until meeting this therapist I absolutely hated therapy I saw it pointless and a waste of time but I guess I just didn’t have the right therapist! I look forward to all my sessions now and have such a positive outlook on getting mental health help even in the slightest ways. David is the perfect mix of gentle and structured.
