Getting to know David Schroll
David Schroll is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Sex Offender Treatment Provider offering therapeutic services since 1995 to children, adolescents, teenagers, and adults. He conducts individual, couples, family, and marital therapy.
David began his career providing group cognitive behavioral therapy within the juvenile justice system. He left state employment in 2003 to pursue his Master’s in Counseling at Tarleton State University, graduating in 2005. While working toward his degree, he performed psychological testing for a psychologist in Austin and was an instructor at Fort Hood, assisting soldiers and families returning from Iraq in 2004. In 2005, David and his wife moved to Corpus Christi, where he worked with transitioning seniors in nursing homes and assisted living, as well as in Adult Mental Health, providing individual and crisis counseling as lead of the Mobile Crisis Outreach Team. He then spent 10 years at a family systems-based counseling nonprofit as therapist, clinical director, and executive director. At Family Counseling Service, he gained experience working with individuals, couples, families, military personnel, police officers, and firefighters dealing with anxiety, depression, life transitions, marital issues, grief, ADHD management, emotional regulation, and more. He regularly worked with victims of violent crimes and Employee Assistance programs.
David returned to Central Texas in 2019 and worked as Clinical Supervisor and Clinic Manager in Temple with Central Counties Services, providing intake and counseling for children, adolescents, and teenagers.
David has been married over 27 years and has no children but multiple furred and feathered pets. In his spare time, he enjoys reading and spending time with his wife exploring new things in Temple and the surrounding area.
