My approach centers on treating both big "T" and little "t" trauma by getting to know and guiding clients at their own pace. My approach I ground my behavioral health work in the harm reduction framework, taking time to understand people on their own terms and how they relate to the stresses that bring them into care. I view recovery as extending beyond substance use to address what individuals use substances to find relief from. This perspective blends well with trauma treatment through attachment and attachment repair via AF-EMDR. Meditation is also a key part of my practice, both personally and as a tool I offer to clients who wish to begin or deepen their mindfulness practice. My focus I have experience working with adult individuals who identify as LGBTQIA+, those living with HIV, and veterans. I welcome working with individuals regardless of diagnosis, as trauma does not discriminate. I also support people living with substance use disorder, whether in recovery or actively using. My communication style Motivational Interviewing is central to how I communicate with clients. I see my role as a guide, helping clients find their way back to wholeness through whatever path feels most right to them.
