Dr. Davisha Scudder, PsyD

Psychotherapist
NY
I am a psychologist licensed in Florida and New York with over 8 years of experience working as a school psychologist, trauma-informed postdoctoral resident, and clinical psychologist. I earned my PsyD from Nova Southeastern University. I have worked with clients facing a wide range of concerns, including depression, anxiety, executive functioning deficits, relationship difficulties, school problems, parenting struggles, and career challenges. I have also helped many people who have experienced trauma and/or abuse. My counseling style is empathetic and warm. I believe in treating everyone with compassion, understanding, and openness, and I do not support the stigmatization of clinical diagnoses. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, client-centered, systems, and integrated theory. I will tailor our treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. It takes bravery and initiative to take the first steps toward change. If you are ready to take those steps, I am here to help guide you and provide support along your journey of self-discovery as you unlock your potential and continue to grow as a person. I look forward to working with you!

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
