What should a new client know about working with you?

Clients often describe my style as warm, affirming, and down-to-earth. I believe therapy works best when you feel safe, understood, and comfortable being yourself. My goal is to create a space where you don’t have to explain or justify your identity, relationships, or experiences. I work from a trauma-informed and collaborative approach, helping you explore patterns, understand your experiences, and develop practical tools for managing anxiety, ADHD, emotional overwhelm, and relationship challenges. Whether you're navigating ADHD, trauma, identity exploration, polyamory, or anxiety, I tailor therapy to your needs and goals. Some clients come to therapy looking for deeper emotional processing, while others want concrete strategies and coping skills — we can do both. I understand that many clients have had previous therapy experiences that didn’t fully meet their needs. My goal is to create a supportive, affirming space where you feel heard, respected, and empowered.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

In our first session, we focus on getting to know you — your goals, your experiences, and what you’re hoping to gain from therapy. We’ll also talk about what has and hasn’t worked for you in the past and begin identifying priorities for our work together. From there, sessions typically involve: - Exploring current challenges and stressors - Identifying patterns and triggers - Processing emotions and past experiences - Building coping strategies and practical tools - Supporting identity exploration and relationship dynamics Because therapy is individualized, sessions may look different depending on your needs. Some sessions may focus on processing trauma or anxiety, while others may involve building ADHD-friendly strategies, improving communication, or navigating relationships. My goal is to create a collaborative, affirming space where you feel supported while working toward meaningful and sustainable change.
