Dr. Dawn Harbin is a Licensed Professional Counselor in South Carolina who has been practicing since 2007. She earned her Doctorate in Philosophy with a specialization in Clinical Psychology from Walden University, her Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling from Webster University, and her Bachelor of Arts in Human Services and Resources from Anderson University. Dr. Harbin offers clients hope, understanding, comfort, and the space to express their needs without feeling nitpicked or overwhelmed. She believes it is important for clients to know that life can get better and that they hold the power to make meaningful changes. Dr. Harbin brings extensive experience to her practice, including work with the homeless population. She was published in the Journal of Substance Abuse and Alcoholism and authored a book on children’s grief titled *Sending Becky to Heaven*, which is available on Amazon. In 2013, she was featured on the cover of Anderson Life Magazine. Outside of work, Dr. Harbin enjoys reading, sewing (giving back to the community through the Cinderella Project and Project Linus), holiday decorating—especially for Halloween—cooking and baking, charity work, mentoring high school students, and working in her yard.
