Getting to know Dayna Pitzer

At the start of 2022, I realized that through advancements in technology and new rules allowed with my licensure, I could finally reach my goal of fully working in a private practice capacity. Throughout my career, I have primarily worked with adults in various settings, but in 2016, I shifted my dedication to teenagers in the criminal justice system. This period was both rewarding and challenging at the same time. I have hospice experience, which is where I gained my passion for grief and loss as well as dealing with phases of life changes. This hit home hard in 2016 as I watched and cared for my mother, who battled ovarian cancer. She passed away in November 2019, and I took a step back from my private practice work to focus on my healing as well as my work at the Juvenile Center. In August 2020, I resumed private practice, but strictly online. Once 2022 arrived, I was ready to transition from working in the juvenile justice system to taking a step with online therapy full time. I have experience with inpatient psychiatric care, crisis intervention, hospice, chronic medical illness, and a wide range of mental health and relationship issues. I have a passion for helping people find peace of mind and the strength to work on the challenges they are facing. I hold a Master’s in Social Work from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, which has provided a strong foundation for my clinical work and commitment to compassionate care.
