Hi there, I'm Deanna! Hello, my name is Deanna Houck. I am a certified Life/Health Coach and a Licensed Professional Counselor in Wisconsin. I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology from Marian College at Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, and a Master of Science degree in educational/professional counselor tract from Concordia University in Mequon, Wisconsin. I hold a certificate in Neuropsychotherapy from Mind Works Professional Education, Inc. I am fascinated by Neuropsychotherapy research. I am often described as compassionate, creative, and curious. I have almost 30 years of experience collaborating with individuals who have substance use disorders, chronic mental health disorders, and developmental disabilities. I have worked in a variety of care settings ranging from clinics to residential treatment facilities. In addition, I spent five years providing case management and in-home therapy to individuals in a Community Support Program. My approach I use a lot of different approaches to meet clients where they are at. I like to utilize client strengths. Some of the approaches I use are expressive art, journaling, Acceptance Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Psychosensory, Somatic, Gottman Method, Motivational Interviewing, Emotionally Focused, Solution focused, Behavior Activation, and Mindfulness. My focus All brains are welcome. However, I specialize in supporting neurodivergent adult individuals especially ADHD adults to build healthier relationships, regulate their moods, navigate life changes, and conquer their anxieties. My communication style I tend to use audio, visual, and experiential styles of psychoeducation. I often have a cheerful tone of voice and a sense of humor. I love to ask questions because I'm naturally curious and it helps guide clients to better outcomes.
