Getting to know DeAnna Rock

Hello! I am DeAnna Rock and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in, both in SC and NC. I've spent several years working with individuals with serious mental illness, trauma, anxiety, depression, grief and loss and substance use. I have been a Licensed Nurse and Licensed Professional Counselor for many years. I provide counseling for individuals of all ages, and have specialized training in treatment of post-traumatic stress, depression with suicidal thoughts, self harm, mood, anxiety, phobias, obsessive compulsive disorders, as well as children and adolescents struggling with social anxiety, ADHD, family dynamics and communication. I have worked with many children and families in foster care or kinship care. I am trained in providing Comprehensive Diagnostic Assessments, Parenting Assessments and Forensic Interviews when there is suspected abuse or neglect. I have been described as direct, supportive, caring, and compassionate, with a good sense of humor. Often we do focus on identifying your strengths and helping you maximize those abilities that are already a part of you, and to help you overcome and heal from adverse experiences. I'm here to help sort through the things that are difficult right now, and offer you a safe place to be open and honest, without fear of judgment.
