Deannie, LMSW Therapist | Trauma-Informed Care Specialist My name is Deannie Rodriguez. I’m a Licensed Master Social Worker providing relational, trauma-informed virtual therapy in Texas. My work is rooted in helping clients move beyond survival mode and toward a life that feels more grounded, aware, and whole. Growing up as a first-generation Caribbean-American, I witnessed the strength it takes to navigate life while carrying unspoken burdens. That experience shapes the way I show up as a therapist: culturally responsive, nonjudgmental, and deeply committed to creating a space where clients can rest, breathe, and feel truly seen. I believe healing is not just about managing symptoms. It is about understanding the root of your pain, reconnecting with your body, and creating space for the parts of you that have been overwhelmed, overworked, or stuck in survival.

Getting to know Deannie Rodriguez

What should a new client know about working with you?

My practice is collaborative, integrative, and rooted in root-cause therapy. I focus on helping clients understand and heal the original wounds beneath the symptoms, rather than only managing what shows up on the surface. I use a body-based and decolonized lens, recognizing that trauma and stress are not only held in the mind, but also in the body and nervous system. Therapy with me is a space where you do not have to keep it all together. You can show up messy, exhausted, unsure, guarded, or overwhelmed, and still be met with warmth, curiosity, and cultural humility. My approach integrates Somatic Therapy, Internal Family Systems-informed work, mindfulness, nervous system regulation, and trauma-informed care. Through somatic and body-based healing, we go beyond traditional talk therapy and gently support your capacity for regulation, awareness, and resilience. Through parts work, we make room for the inner critic, the protector parts, and the parts of you still stuck in survival mode.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My goal is to help you slow down, reconnect with yourself, and begin living with more ease and self-trust. Healing is not about forcing yourself to be different. It is about learning to listen to yourself differently. Together, we work toward building emotional awareness, nervous system regulation, self-compassion, and a deeper connection to your authentic self. This work is about helping you move from simply surviving to feeling more present, grounded, and whole in your life. I work with high-achieving women, young adults, mothers, BIPOC clients, neurodivergent clients, and individuals from marginalized communities. I support clients navigating anxiety, depression, chronic stress, burnout, trauma, perfectionism, identity-related stress, high-functioning overwhelm, nervous system dysregulation, and general mental health concerns. I am especially passionate about supporting clients who may look like they are holding everything together on the outside, but internally feel exhausted, disconnected, overwhelmed, or unsure how to slow down. In our work together, we create space to understand what has been weighing on you and begin building a life that feels more aligned, peaceful, and connected to who you truly are.
