What should a new client know about working with you?

My style is warm, solution-focused and purposeful. My specialties are anxiety, stress reduction, seasonal affective depression (SAD), life transitions, anger, multicultural, Christian Counseling, trauma, military/Veteran, problem-solving, grief/loss, coaching, and premarital/commitment issues. I work within a Christ-centered approach which encompasses my clinical expertise in one or more of the following: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Coaching, Brief Solution Focused, Strength-Based, Christian Counseling, Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness, Creative Arts (Music, Art), and Cognitive Processing Therapy for trauma (CPT).

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I invite you to reach out to me if you are READY to take a step towards healing. It is a choice and requires vulnerability, but you are worth the investment. Prior to our meeting, intake paperwork will be sent for completion. Additionally, please verify your insurance plan (i.e. deductibles, co-pay, in/out of network). Day one, expect a needs assessment and goal-setting. The virtual sessions are typically 60 min in length. Frequency is based on several factors: The treatment/wellness plan, availability, and therapeutic approach i.e. Cognitive Processing Therapy. With a motivation of change, most clients will see gradual lifting symptoms within the first month and sustained improvement thereafter. Your success relies heavily on our collaboration. Please note: Referrals will be made should you need supplemental (or another type of) care. Please note: I am closed on all federal holidays, Good Friday, the day after Thanksgiving and Christmas.
