She has extensive experience in anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss, and conflict resolution. Deborah has worked in diverse settings, including in-patient and in-home hospice, a college counseling center, an independent day school for dual diagnosis behaviorally challenged youth, and a medical hospital setting addressing chronic illness, life transitions, end-of-life care, and conflict resolution. Most recently, Deborah worked at an inpatient rehabilitation facility supporting individuals with dual diagnoses of substance use and mental health challenges. Her responsibilities included assessments, diagnosis, treatment planning, individual and family counseling, as well as group therapy and psycho-education for clients and staff. She employs a client-centered, strength-based approach to tailor treatment plans that gently identify barriers, develop attainable goals, and teach coping skills that empower clients to strengthen their inner voice and resiliency. In her free time, Deborah enjoys hiking the trails of New England with her dog Charlie, family, and friends. She also loves horseback riding, skiing, snorkeling, scuba diving, kayaking, reading, and watching classic black-and-white movies (with Charlie).
