What should a new client know about working with you?

I am a firm believer that counseling makes a difference and can help you to have improved mental health which will impact all areas of your life -this includes the following: improved relationships, increased self esteem, greater ability for self regulation, skills and the ability to manage depression, mood, anxiety, panic and increased self understanding, self acceptance, self love and self compassion. I have successful working with my clients and it is rewarding to me to see their productive work and focus on goals result in their growth and healing as they participate in counseling and learn new skills and strategies that are real and applicable and improve their every day life functioning.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My counseling first and foremost provides a confidential, a safe and a neutral place to talk and dialogue and process your thoughts and feelings as a whole person. My theoretical basis will be based on an eclectic counseling approach of helping you to address current and past issues based on what your needs. I start where you are and work with you on resolving conflict and trauma. My counseling focuses on helping you to learn- your own power and control and that you have the ability to manage your mental health through various skills and strategies that you will learn in the counseling arena. My theoretical approach is based on empirical backed theories such as Gestalt, Adler, Interpersonal, Logotherapy, Cognitive Behavior therapy, and Person Therapy.
