Deborah Kolko, LSW

Psychotherapist
6440 N. Central Ave, Chicago, IL
I see therapy as a gift-a valuable opportunity to clear away what holds us back, develop our skills in the ways we want, and help us live our very best lives. This is what I offer you. I will collaborate with you, guide you, and support you as you take this journey. I will always focus on helping you reach your goals and achieve the change you are seeking. My primary orientation is psychodynamic, and I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and other modalities. My approach is relational and empathic, with a continuous focus on change and enduring growth. I have worked with older teens, college students, and adults from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. I have experience treating a range of difficulties, including anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship issues, emotional regulation, and behavioral challenges. I also enjoy working with women adjusting to motherhood, as well as couples seeking to maintain and manage their relationships, improve communication, and grow together. I hold a Master's in Social Work from Loyola University Chicago Lake Shore Campus, which has equipped me with the knowledge and skills to provide compassionate, effective care tailored to each individual's unique needs.
