“I can not recommend Debbie enough as a therapist. She has helped me navigate so many major life events. On top of that with her help I've dealt with anxiety my entire life. She has an amazing way of relating and allowing me to find a way to navigate it all. Finding a therapist previously has been so tricky and honestly draining. But scheduling was so simple ”

Getting to know Deborah Missud

Thank you for booking an appointment with us! Please note your appointment is not confirmed until you speak with a member of our team. We will verify your insurance coverage prior to confirming your appointment. ------------------------------------------------------ Have you been feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or just “blah”? Is balancing your career, social life, dating, and family contributing to a non-stop feeling of anxiety? Do you find yourself repeating the same thought and behavior patterns with no direction on how to break them? You're not alone. Our practice specializes in the treatment of anxiety, perfectionism, trauma, relationships/attachment, and depression in 20- and 30-somethings. We strive to make therapy feel warm and relatable, while maintaining a high standard of evidence-based care. We take a holistic approach to therapy, meaning we are sensitive to your psychology, environment, and mind-body connection in your treatment. With a Master's in Counseling Psychology from Columbia University, your therapist will craft an individualized treatment plan tailored to your personal goals and needs. From being provided with a myriad of tools to manage current symptoms to in-depth inner-child work, we support you every step of the way. Work toward your goals, improve your mental wellness, and feel supported navigating life's ups and downs in the safety of a therapeutic space. Taking the plunge into therapy can be an intimidating, yet worthwhile investment toward becoming the best version of yourself.

What should a new client know about working with you?

PLEASE NOTE: YOUR APPOINTMENT IS NOT CONFIRMED UNTIL YOU SPEAK WITH A MEMBER OF OUR TEAM. We bill and are paid directly by most insurance companies for OUT OF NETWORK services. We are not in network with any insurance panels. You have the option of waiting for insurance reimbursement, or just paying your copay while we wait for reimbursement. Clients are not financially responsible for denied claims. You will not be eligible to use your benefits if your plan does not offer out-of-network coverage. After verifying your coverage, you will need to complete our intake forms and provide a valid credit card. Once all steps have been completed, you will receive confirmation of your online or in-person appointment.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

A typical session will vary based on your presenting concern. All initial sessions are exploratory, meaning your therapist will gather more information about your history in order to develop a collaborative treatment plan. Our therapists individualize treatment, so no two treatment plans look the same. We pride ourselves on being warm, relatable, wellness-focused therapists who reject the idea of the "blank slate" clinician. Your therapist will generally take more of an active approach, ensuring you feel like you're getting something out of your sessions, while still providing a safe space to vent when needed.

In-network insurances

Deborah Missud, LMHC is not in-network with any insurances

It’s common for mental health providers to be out-of-network. Many insurance plans offer out-of-network coverage, so you may get partially reimbursed. Learn more

Out-of-pocket fees and assistance
Initial session: $250 for 45 minutes
Ongoing session: $100-250 for 45 minutes
  • Sliding scale: Offers lower out-of-pocket fees on an individual basis, typically based on your ability to pay
  • Files your insurance claim: You pay the session fee upfront and the provider files the claim for you, so you can get reimbursed directly without worrying about the paperwork
  • Charges post-reimbursement amount: This provider will only charge you for the amount you pay after you get reimbursed from your insurance plan, so you don’t need to pay the session fee upfront

More information on payments and coverage

Insurances listed are ones that typically offer out-of-network benefits. We accept payment directly from out-of-network benefits, meaning we offer the option for you to only pay your out-of-network copay after your deductible has been met. We do not accept in-network benefits. We also offer to submit superbills on your behalf if you choose to pay your fee upfront.
