Getting to know Deborah Mobley

I have been a therapist for my entire adult life. I have a Masters Degree in Psychology from the University of West Florida and I have worked with children and families, couples and individuals. Much of my experience has been with crisis mental health counseling after disasters. I am amazed by the strength individuals can find within themselves to approach life difficulties. My therapeutic approach uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy primarily which allows you to be in the driver's seat to find solutions that work. I am the person in the seat next to you who provides observation, careful and constructive feedback and new ideas to try. I have years of training and experience and am non-judgemental as you make your journey. We will use goal setting and assignments and behavioral therapy techniques to try new ways to approach life issues. I enjoy working with those individuals who have a history of trauma and find that this approach is helpful in restoring a sense of control and renewed faith in self and others. We will develop a plan to work on your goals and adjust it as you see fit. Finding the right therapist is a big responsibility, but making the decision to seek therapy is the first step in the right direction
