Getting to know Deborah Parker
I am a Texas LPC, Colorado LPC, and Florida Telehealth LMHC with a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Capella University. I have over 20 years of experience in the mental health field in various roles. I have a deep passion for working with people experiencing the effects of trauma. People are often nervous about beginning therapy; either they don't know what to expect or they've had some bad experiences in the past. We will collaborate to find the best strategies for you. We will talk about some things directly; we will address other things indirectly; each of these approaches works in different ways to assist you in processing and letting go of the pain and gaining new perspectives.
I am certified by the Veteran's Health Administration to use the Clinician Administered PTSD Scale. I am also trained in Trauma-focused CBT. Additionally, I am a menopause coach, which means I can use both my coaching knowledge regarding menopause alongside therapy to address these women's issues.
