Deborah Peyton, LPCC

Psychotherapist
KY
Life presents challenges for everyone, and one of the most positive aspects of counseling is finding a therapist who can support you in developing self-compassion throughout those experiences. Whether you are coping with grief and loss after the end of a relationship, navigating domestic violence, or seeking personal change, I am dedicated to assisting you. As a therapist, I provide a nonjudgmental and empathetic environment where confidentiality is respected. My approach is rooted in understanding, as I recognize that everyone faces difficulties at different points in life, myself included. My name is Deborah, and I earned an M.Ed. in Counseling from Lindsey Wilson College in 2009. I began practicing clinically in 2018 after receiving my LPCA license, following several years working with autistic children. In addition to this experience, I have worked with clients—both adults and adolescents—with ADHD, survivors of domestic violence, individuals experiencing grief and loss, and others facing various mental health challenges. My therapeutic methods include reality therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), often incorporating eclectic approaches such as REBT and other person-centered treatments. Over time, I transitioned from holding an LPCA to an LPCC-S credential.
