Deborah Stone, CMHC

Psychotherapist
1072 W 400 N, Salt Lake, UT
I am known by friends and clients to be a kind, compassionate, and non-judgmental person. After struggling with the suicide of a daughter, I was compelled to go back to school and earn my doctorate degree in psychology from Walden University when I could find no professional who understood my grief and could help me. I feel an important part of healing from any trauma is to be understood by the person you are seeking help from. I am that person. I specialize in testing for ADHD and providing therapy to help people with ADHD manage their lives. I am passionate about helping elevate self-esteem and empowering women to become confident in who they are. I enjoy helping people overcome problems that are keeping them from being the person they desire to be, including those with culturally related issues, gang-exiting, recovery from substances, former guests of jails and prisons, and people changing religious preferences. My background of living in Asia for 15 years and teaching ESL for over 30 years has given me the cultural insight and respect needed to help people of almost any ethnic background. I am super friendly and very solution-oriented. My approach is direct, and there is no problem that surprises me.
