Getting to know Deborah Stymest

Hi, I'm Deborah, and whatever brings you here, it's ok to ask for help. I understand how it feels to lose sight of who you are, or to feel like you’re always giving without receiving. You may be simply feeling numb, or too tired to get moving each day. You deserve to feel seen and understood. In therapy, I work with you to unravel the anxiety, perfectionism, and self-doubt that have kept you stuck, while helping you rediscover a sense of self-worth, connection, and intention. Together, we’ll create a roadmap to change that feels authentic and achievable.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I am an LCSW with five years of post-graduate psychoanalytic training. My approach is to treat the underlying causes of your pain – rather than the pain itself – so that the benefits will be long-lasting. I’ll be an active partner and work to earn your trust by offering compassion while encouraging your growth toward a life more aligned with your true self.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

We'll start with a free consultation. During this time, I'd like to hear about your needs and answer any questions. We can often schedule your first session within a couple of days after the initial consult, either in-person or through telehealth. We’ll chat during our third session to assess how things are going and adjust our approach if needed. Most people begin to feel better soon after starting therapy, and results continue to grow with treatment, though there will be times when uncomfortable feelings will come up. This is part of the process of growth and healing involved in therapeutic treatment.

In-network insurances

Deborah Stymest, LCSW is not in-network with any insurances

It’s common for mental health providers to be out-of-network. Many insurance plans offer out-of-network coverage, so you may get partially reimbursed. Learn more

Out-of-pocket fees and assistance
Initial session: $190 for 60 minutes
Ongoing session: $175 for 50 minutes
  • Files your insurance claim: You pay the session fee upfront and the provider files the claim for you, so you can get reimbursed directly without worrying about the paperwork
  • Charges post-reimbursement amount: This provider will only charge you for the amount you pay after you get reimbursed from your insurance plan, so you don’t need to pay the session fee upfront

More information on payments and coverage

I can help verify if you have out-of-network benefits. I partner with a service that automatically submits superbills and allows you to only pay your co-insurance for my sessions. This could save you 70-80% of full rate every session.
