Debra K Iversen, LCSW

Psychotherapist
CT
It is not always easy to reach out for help, but you are on the right path. Things will get better as we approach your struggles and goals together. I have an easygoing, straightforward approach to therapy as I work to meet each client’s unique needs. I have been a therapist for over 30 years and have worked with clients on a myriad of issues including anxiety, depression, postpartum depression, perinatal loss, and other women’s issues. My work has also included supporting people through life transitions, whether family or career-related, as these can create significant stress. I have worked in Connecticut, Florida, and Texas, both as a clinical leader and practicing clinician. I am currently licensed in Connecticut, California, and Texas. I received my master’s degree in social work from Columbia University’s School of Social Work. I truly look forward to the opportunity of working together and hope we will talk soon. You are not alone.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I hope that after our first session you will take away a sense of hope that things really can change. And, after a few sessions together, that you will get to experience the relief that comes with "real" change.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
