Greetings! I am DeEdra Powell, LMSW, LCSW, licensed in the state of Texas. I graduated from the University of Houston with a Bachelor's in Communication and a Master's degree in Social Work in 2016. I have spent the last 15 years of my career working with children and families in the child welfare system, helping to mend families while treating the individual. I have a wealth of knowledge in issues related to parenting, attachment, substance abuse, trauma, and child development.
My counseling style offers compassion, understanding, and engaging dialogue, which allows us to process through whatever problems you may be facing. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and dignity because that is what you deserve. I am here to offer guidance, reflection, and truly walk with you along your journey.

What should a new client know about working with you?
After our session we will have developed a treatment plan that is specifically meant for your needs. We will set up a follow up appointment to review and the time frame again will be determined by your specific need. We will continue regular follow up appointments to make sure we revisit all concerns old and or new.

More information on payments and coverage
Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
