Following that, I pursued a master's degree in Clinical & Pastoral Counseling from Ashland Theological Seminary. Over the years, I've had the opportunity to work in various settings, including community mental health, residential programs, crisis intervention in local emergency rooms, and within the community. These experiences have equipped me with a diverse skill set and a deep understanding of different mental health challenges. Does not mention that the in-person office is inside of a church, and at the time of my scheduled appointments, required me to walk through an ongoing service to get to the office. Office was loud due to church services outside the door. Privacy concerns due to having to go through the service & office door being unlocked, causing multiple interruptions. Treatment plan was unclear & never discussed with me. Assessment results were never reviewed with me. Of 10 appointments, was late to 7-8 of them. Canceled last minute. Always unprepared (i.e. late, laptop not charged, finishing something else at the beginning of the appointment, didn't review notes from previous sessions, doesn't recall where we left off). Poor listener. Wasted time telling personal stories that were irrelevant to me. Brushed off topics that I brought up that were important to me. Never remembered basic details of my life that were discussed on a weekly basis (i.e. job, family, education, relationships).
