Getting to know Deirys Gonzalez
The goal is to re-experience yourself in new ways. Life is too short not to have the opportunity to become the best version of yourself—free from bad relationships, emotional pain, anxiety, anger, and the control of trauma. With a Master’s in Clinical Social Work from Fordham University, I want to guide you to live life on your own terms and learn to navigate your feelings and experiences in the healthiest way possible. Together, we will help you find meaning in yourself, family, friends, relationships, work, spirituality, and other areas of life.
What should a new client know about working with you?
During my 8+ years of experience, I have helped individuals start their healing journey.My approach is client centered, warm, humorous and empowering. I like to meet my patients where they are at. I utilized modalities such as strength based, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, psychodynamic, mindfulness techniques, trauma informed and holistic approaches.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
Initially I hold a free 15 minute consultation. If you and I both feel we are a great match, we will schedule for a 45 minute intake session. Ongoing sessions can be held in 30-45 minute time slots as needed.

I love going to my therapy sessions. She helps me with all my issues that I have. She provides homework for me that helps me even more. I’m glad I took the steps to reach out and get help. She’s the best therapist I have seen. With her help, I am becoming the version I want to be.

Wonderful. Had and amazing conversation. She was really engaging and gave helpful tips I still use to this day. Definitely recommend her, especially if you don’t know where to start but want to start talking with somebody.
