Getting to know Dellolander Ellis

My name is Dellolander Ellis, I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. I attended Letourneau University and received a Masters level degree in clinical mental health counseling. I am a current member of the Psi Chi honor society and previously American Counseling Association. I received an undergraduate degree with a BS in Sociology at the University of Houston Downtown. I have a background of working with individuals, families, children, and adolescents with various mental health behavioral and psychotic diagnosis including Bipolar Disorder, Major depressive disorders, Anxiety, and Schizophrenia for more than 10 years.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My focus is placed on creating an individualized plan for each client using integrative, evidenced based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, DBT, Trauma Focused CBT, Behavior Therapy, Psychotherapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focused Therapy. Focusing on Grief, Stress, Anxiety, Depression, Trauma and Substance Abuse, Family Issues and Self Esteem building.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My goal is to help clients transition to a place of healing while incorporating compassion and empathy to assist in the empowerment of clients in obtaining a healthier state of well-being.
