Dene Carroll, LCSW

Dene Carroll, LCSW

Psychotherapist
AZ
I specialize in working with individuals, parents, and families where there are no easy answers. My process is grounded in curiosity and clinical insight, with a balance of structure and responsiveness. I take the time to understand before intervening and when we move, we do so with intention. For many years, things seemed very smooth in my life and I was able to perform my way to success. I had the privilege of completing a 4 year degree, then a Masters Degree, I got the great job, I met and married my husband, had kids, and enjoyed a bountiful circle of friends. What could go wrong? Well, the wheels started falling off. Initially, we floundered, and things got a little dark and twisty (kudos to those who just got that Meredith Grey reference)! We emerged with the understanding we were living in a home full of neurodivergent people. I know firsthand the deep love, advocacy, and exhaustion that can come with walking this path. I've worked with families navigating ADHD, autism, sensory needs, trauma overlays, anxiety masking, shame and perfectionist, and complex IEP systems and I continue to seek out current research and best practices to support neurodivergent children and adults, especially within systems that lack flexibility.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
