Getting to know Denis Kitchen
You've caught a glimpse of yourself unfolding the fullness of your capacities back into the universe. Sometimes you dare to believe this person could really be you. But how exactly are you moving forward into such a reality? Your attempts thus far have met with resistance, uncertainty, and excruciating pain. Some days, the very reasons to keep going seem to evaporate. With a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Medaille University and a Bachelor's from the State University of New York at Buffalo, I am here to support you through these challenges and help you rediscover your strength and purpose.
What should a new client know about working with you?
The core of my approach is to strengthen your resilience. This process is painful, requires focused effort, and there is no guarantee of success. If you're ready to rip up that winning lottery ticket, throw it in a mud puddle, and stomp on it, then you're ready to begin working with me.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
There are no questions off the table here. No taboos. We can even start with the assumption that your happiness is hopeless. Now with that out of the way... are you willing to move toward wholeness? Then let's begin.
I'm available for walking sessions in the great outdoors. I'm also available in an office setting or via telehealth.

Denis has helped me considerably as I've dealing with some old issues that have come back up. I've been to a few therapists through the year and I've never spoken with one whose been as empathetic and effective as Denis. I have made more progress in a few months with Denis as I had in years with other therapists. Each meeting we run through techniques to guide me through whatever issues are facing me. I've been able to use these techniques on a day to day basis to alleviate stress, stop panic attacks, and just all around keep me on a better footing. Truly highly recommended!
