Getting to know Denise Dalgarn

Hi, I am Denise, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with almost 18 years of experience. I hold a Master's in Mental Health Counseling from California Lutheran University. Are you struggling in your work or family life? Is it impacting your relationships? Most of us go through life events that leave us battered and bruised, but some experiences stay with us and affect our ability to navigate daily life. Many have faced this, and there is a way to walk through it and come out on the other side-leaving the pain behind while keeping the meaningful lessons safely with us. If you have experienced this kind of incident, it would be a privilege to walk that journey to wholeness with you. I provide a safe space to unpack the stress, anxiety, and pain that often keep us stuck. Before we begin to open any doors or unpack any spaces, we will talk about self-care, grounding, and other techniques to manage overwhelming feelings. Together, we will create a place that offers physical and emotional safety-a place where healing can begin.

What should a new client know about working with you?

After our first session, I desire that you have felt truly heard by another person and that you don’t have to walk through your challenges alone. As a team working together, your personal goals inform the work that we do together each week. We will probably agree on some things that can be done between sessions that will help meet your goals. With all of that being said, I desire that when we finish first time talking together, you will feel hope for the future.

In-network insurances

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
