The quality of our relationships determines the quality of our life. Have you been struggling in your relationship(s), and it's wreaking havoc in your life? Maybe these difficulties are with your partner, spouse, children, family, or friends. Painful relationships can make life feel exhausting. At the root of most relationship struggles is a communication problem that hasn't been resolved. If you've been unable to communicate effectively in your relationship, if you want to stop having the same painful arguments over and over, I can help. I'm a mental health counselor and marriage & relationship coach with a Master of Education in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Massachusetts and a Bachelor's degree from Assumption University. I've been helping people improve their relationships for over two decades. Married for 24 years with two adult children of my own, I know what it takes to communicate effectively and foster connection with love, respect, and understanding of differences. Relationships are hard. The good news is you're not alone! Many people experience these same struggles. When you work with a mentor who understands the complex nature of relationships, it's absolutely possible to heal the hurt and create healthy, loving relationships with all the people in your life.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Denise is a licensed mental health counselor and couples coach. Denise has extensive training in the most well researched models of couples therapy, including EFT, Gottman and the Developmental Model of couples therapy. She has been helping couples heal, strengthen and transform their relationships for over a decade. If you've had unsuccessful couples therapy in the past, look no further, Denise has you covered. Her approach is goal focused and offers practical solutions to your most difficult relationship challenges. Don't wait another day to invest in healing your most important relationships.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Unlike traditional, individual therapy, couples counseling requires a very different set of skills. Denise has honed these skills over 2 decades to help couples communicate with confidence and ease so they can be happy in their relationship like they once were. Sessions focus on helping couples identify how they want their relationship to be different, discovering the ineffective cyclical patterns that are keeping them stuck, and then outlining the roadmap or steps required to create exactly what you desire.
