Getting to know Denise Krot-Nowak

Hello. My name is Denise. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and a Licensed Alcohol/Drug Counselor with over 24 years of experience working as a clinician in outpatient agencies, in schools, in substance treatment agencies and in correctional facilities which has provided me a wide range of knowledge and understanding. I work primarily with clients ages 18 and up who are experiencing various challenges including anxiety, depression, substance use issues, among others and who are from all walks of life. My therapeutic modalities include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing which help people to embrace changes, learn coping skills and empowers individuals to make the changes they strive to make. I enjoy working with people and provide a safe, welcoming, non-judgmental atmosphere where people can comfortably express themselves. I strive to help people help themselves in working together with support and encouragement. I look forward to hearing from you and exploring how we can best work together to meet your needs. I am currently offering telehealth appointments.
