Getting to know Denise Martinez
Are you experiencing stress, worry, racing thoughts, impaired sleep, feeling on edge, heart racing, nightmares, or flashbacks? Do you replay moments in your head and feel hopeless? Maybe you're feeling like you are not quite yourself-like you aren't living your healthiest, happiest, and most well-functioning life. My specialty is helping clients uncover the root of their problems and then empower them with the skills necessary to regain a healthier sense of control in those areas. I specialize in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), an extensively researched, effective psychotherapy method proven to help people recover from trauma and PTSD symptoms.
I hold a Master's degree in Counseling from Palm Beach Atlantic University. My primary focus is on helping individuals find balance and peace after experiencing trauma, navigating life transitions, unhealthy relationships, or loss and grief. I work with you to develop healthy coping skills and gain insight. I love helping others feel at peace and whole again.
If there is one thing I want you to know, it is that the most crucial part of therapy is finding a therapist you trust. My priority is to create a genuine connection with my clients by providing a safe and non-judgmental space for them.
What should a new client know about working with you?
My goal is for you to feel seen and heard. I provide a warm space where together we will explore your struggles, help you gain insight of what is causing your symptoms and learn how to manage them so that you may see growth in your healing journey.

More information on payments and coverage
Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
