Denise Rosanova, LCPC

Psychotherapist
IL
I obtained my master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Adler University. I completed my master's program while working as an advocate for crime victims at a nonprofit organization I founded in 2008, Mothers On a Mission to Stop Violence (MOMSV). During my time at MOMSV, I authored three laws that passed unanimously in the State of Illinois, strengthening and protecting crime victims' rights. After graduation, I became employed as a crisis and suicide prevention worker at DuPage County Health Department. My treatment approach is trauma-informed, collaborative, and strength-based. Using neuroeducation, I teach clients the neurophysiological response to trauma and stress to help them gain insight and awareness of their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. I encourage clients to practice self-compassion, nonjudgment, and affirmations to empower themselves and build on their strengths of resilience and optimism.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
