Getting to know Dennis Kevin Caskey

Individuals seek out therapy for a variety of reasons, with the desire for change being a common denominator. Lasting change or transformation requires a great deal of vulnerability and openness. Therefore, I consider it my responsibility to create an environment of trust, empathy, and unspoken relatability. Additionally, my role is to serve as a guide in helping clients establish goals and stay on target in meeting them. This will at times involve a more directive approach to therapy. I would consider my style to be humanistic and client-centered. I also like to insert levity when appropriate-laughter is good for the soul. I utilize several models and techniques, depending upon individual needs. I focus my practice on adults with depression, anxiety, and unresolved childhood trauma. I particularly enjoy working with health professionals as well as individuals struggling with substance use disorders. I hold a Master's degree in Clinical Social Work from the University of Tennessee, which has provided a strong foundation for my clinical work and understanding of diverse client needs.
