Hello, I am Derek! It is so nice to meet you. Thank you for taking the time to explore what Grow Therapy can do for you. I hold a PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision and a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, both from Liberty University. I hope to come alongside you and work with you to build a life worth living. Life can be challenging sometimes; however, it does not need to stay that way. Hopefully, we can work together to navigate life's difficulties and find new ways to manage them moving forward. I look forward to working with you!

What should a new client know about working with you?

After the initial assessment session, you should expect a client-centered approach to treatment. You will let me know what you have going on in your life, and we will work collaboratively to develop a plan to address it. We will create a treatment plan and have work between sessions to continue to develop and refine skills. I will always view you as the expert on you, and I am here to help you process through your challenges.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
