Getting to know Derria Gipson

My focus is to create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where clients feel comfortable being honest about where they are and empowered to move toward where they want to be. I work with individuals experiencing ADHD, anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, and other challenges that can make it difficult to feel like themselves. I believe people are more than the challenges they face or the labels placed on them, and I strive to understand each client as a whole person. My approach is person-centered, trauma-informed, and individualized. I draw from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, and other evidence-based approaches to help clients gain clarity, develop practical coping skills, and navigate life’s challenges. My goal is to meet each client where they are, honor their unique experiences, and support meaningful, lasting growth.
