About DeShannon DeShannon Williamson grew up in Oakland, California. He is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and provides support as a Licensed Mental Health Clinician (Therapist) for the Probation Department. He holds a Master's degree in Social Work and a Bachelor's degree in Human Development, both from California State University, East Bay. He has made it his mission to provide education and awareness around mental health for marginalized communities of color. For 30 years, he has supported many leading nonprofit organizations in the Bay Area, including BOSS (Building Opportunities for Self Sufficiency), where he serves as a Board Member. He has also been a Board member for the 100 Black Men of the Bay Area and currently chairs the Mental Health Committee. He dedicates significant time regularly to mentoring Black boys in Oakland. DeShannon has worked for Kaiser Permanente in Oakland, the Alameda County Drug Court in Oakland, Larkin Street Youth Services in San Francisco, Bay Area Community Services (BACS), and Seneca Family of Agencies. In addition to his clinical work, he is a Licensed Real Estate Broker and has helped hundreds of families and individuals achieve homeownership for nearly 30 years. As a Real Estate Investor, he provides housing primarily to families who utilize community programs. DeShannon specializes in quality mental health therapy. His approach is to offer an understanding, empathic, and non-judgmental relationship where you can explore your feelings and experiences with the goal of improving your quality of life. He enjoys riding Harley Davidson motorcycles and spending time with family and friends.
